I’m Alex, this is my site, I designed it. I use it for furthering my point of view. I also experiment, and test design and development techniques, tools, and ideas here. I am in school to attain a BA in IT and web development. My goal is to help develop cohesive cross platform solutions that span the gamut of desktop to smartphone for small businesses, organizations, or anyone interested. It is my belief that If you’re a business which includes communication, there should be easy intuitive means of accessing and distributing that information. It should include Smartphone apps, desktop widgets, and website tools ALL with similar intuitive interfaces that make using them common and easy.  I personally often wonder why many iPhone apps aren’t also desktop widgets, and features of the website.  I believe all three are necessary for disseminating information affectively in this modern age. I also believe it should be easy for an individual to know intuitively how to use all three. I know the tools are there, and I know people know how to use them, I just wonder if they know for what they should be used.

Hobby wise, I enjoy producing logos, (clean) novelty graphics, videos published via my YouTube channel. I publish some of my own work thru Zazzle. My passion is in art, graphic design, and capturing the world around me for others to see, and hopefully experience similar appreciation.

I’m not as mechanical as many business expect their workers to be. I’m a human, I take pride in my work, and volume is not my objective. I have difficulty with the concept that any human should perform any any task in a production-line fashion; except maybe the serving of fast-food. I love the process of creating something new, and accelerating the process will always harm it.

I consult in a marketing vein on web site design. I primarily support the installation of, and custom theme generation for stand-alone CSM’s or Content Management Systems, on a web hosting service obtained by the client. Some comon CSM’s I support are Joomla, and WordPress, Drupal, DotNetNuke. I use StartLogic to host my sites as I don’t have the infrastructure or capital to host my own server.  My Hosting service recommendation is DreamHost, who i may switch to for certain technical advantages they provide.
